ENERGY AS A VITAL SOURCE
Because of several high energetic cost beard from Poliplast in the field
of plastic material, the company has been included also in the market of
electric energy for a long time. The company owns 03 hydroelectric generating
stations, two of them are located in the area of Bergamo (Fiumero and Gandellino),
the third is at Varallo Sesia in Vercelli; all together produce annually
about 14 millions of Kw. The idea of expansion in this field appeared immediately
very interesting whether for the high income or for the respect of the environment
so following to a large need of energy, the company decided to have its
own source of energy. For the moment our 3 hydroelectric generating stations
produce about 60% of the energy indispensable for the company but in few
years it is preview to complete autonomy.
