Thermoplastic Powders
The production of powders is one of the most important sectors because the technology that uses polymer powders has an extraordinary development potential. Poliplast S.p.a. is able to produce powders starting from a variety of thermoplastic resins for applications ranging from rotational moulding to the production of resins for masterbatches and compounds.
Rotational Moulding
The production of thermoplastic powders for rotational moulding is the reference market for the company. Polythene in powder form is the universally used material (mainly linear), for the production of large items such as tanks, silos, boats, containers, pipes, etc. Poliplast has developed different types of polythene powder called “PLASTENE” with different degrees of MFI (Melt flow index) and density, natural or pigmented in the required color.
Masterbatches and Compounds
The need to obtain high degrees of dispersion and homogenization of components, resins, pigments, additives is increasing both in the production of masterbatches and compounds. The technological evolution of the systems and the use of polymers in powder with controlled granulometry can guarantee these results. The series of products for this sector includes a large number of polymers of both the “commodities” and “special” types.
